Survey Says!

This fall, NAVPLG conducted a survey of our members to get a better idea of the volunteer sector in local government.  Twenty-four members responded.

The biggest message from the survey is that we are a diverse group.  Volunteer programs in local government are not just in large cities with thousands of volunteers.  Our work occurs in a variety of communities in all types of ways.  There doesn't appear to be any one right way to function.  Some of us work throughout all parts of government while others work specifically in one department.
