President's Message

Kathy Halstead, NAVPLG Board President

WHY YOU NEED TO "PLUG INTO YOUR PEER NETWORK" NOW
Spring is here, which means every agency around the country is busy organizing volunteers to get their communities into peak readiness for the crowds warmer weather will bring. This is the PERFECT season to network with other members to ask about best practices, or perhaps find a solution to a glitch you've encountered.

You have the ability to interact with experienced professionals anxious to share their knowledge, and learn along the way. FIND THEM in the "Members Only" section of the website. Reach out further and get connected through NAVPLG's social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

This June, at NAVPLG's session @ NCVS, network with coordinators of government volunteer programs, recognize outstanding administrators from around the country, and join an interactive session focused on trends and challenges, top issues identified by the 130 participants at last year's session.

And if you'd like to have a more active role, as well as build your professional resume, considering joining the NAVPLG Board or serving on a Committee. There's a submission form in the "About Us" tab.

So, Plug In - Network - Email - Call - Like Us - Tweet.
Just find a way to connect!
                                          With much thanks, Kathy
