Affiliations
NAVPLG affiliations are open to non-partisan organizations representing any recognized government structure. These affiliations are formalized through written agreements, where NAVPLG provides a liaison, and the affiliate organization designates a representative to serve on the NAVPLG Board of Directors. Affiliates collaborate with NAVPLG to support and strengthen volunteer engagement within government. This partnership ensures a mutual exchange of expertise and perspectives, enhancing the shared mission of advancing volunteerism in public service. Each affiliate's representative plays a vital role in shaping NAVPLG’s initiatives and advocating for the importance of volunteer administration in government. Below is a list of NAVPLG official affiliations.

Affinity AssociationsNAVPLG connects with affinity groups whose membership is composed of non-elected public employees within recognized government structures, focusing on shared characteristics such as ethnicity, gender, disability, and other aspects of diversity. These connections reflect NAVPLG’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and supporting diverse perspectives in volunteer engagement. However, NAVPLG does not establish formal agreements or endorse groups that are partisan in nature, including those focused on political parties, or with organizations that do not align with NAVPLG’s mission and goals. Instead, NAVPLG offers expertise in volunteer administration to advance effective programs and strengthen public service.
NAVPLG welcomes sponsors who share a commitment to advancing volunteer engagement in government and public service. Sponsors provide crucial support for NAVPLG’s work, enabling the organization to offer education, resources, and advocacy for volunteer program leaders. In return, sponsors receive opportunities for recognition, collaboration, and visibility within NAVPLG’s professional network. Together with its sponsors, NAVPLG strengthens the impact of volunteerism and promotes its value in the public sector.
