Valued Program to Share

When opening the City’s fifth library, the manager and I brainstormed ideas to bring people in.  With our City becoming more diverse, we created Small Talk. This is a conversational English program for people with English as their second language.  Today we run six Small Talk sessions and one Summer Talk session. The participating libraries have a staff person present the topic.  Then it is handed over to volunteer facilitators.  By the way, there is a waiting list of volunteers for this program.
